PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- To support the Cluster Leaders in their work with local and Nord Anglia staff – raising standards by improving the quality of teaching and learning
- The Lead Advisor is school based
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the guidance of the Cluster Leaders
- Deliver the goals of the Public-Private partnership through the implementation of effective quality assurance procedures
- Support and guide local and NA staff with respect to curriculum, planning, teaching, classroom organization, resourcing, adapting and preparing materials to meet the needs of children, assessment and classroom environment
- Assist in the implementation of the ADEC curriculum where the achievement of high standards is through a rich, varied and exciting curriculum
- Develop teachers’ and advisors’ own professionalism and capacity to teach better, with bespoke support they can draw on to meet their particular needs
- Monitor, review and evaluate the quality and impact of teaching and use the outcomes to identify professional development needs
- Liaise and meet with the Cluster Leaders and Deputy Director in order to support the progress of the PPP in meeting the KPIs
- Lead CPD when required with respect to Excellent Early Years/Primary/High School practice
- Liaise effectively with the parent ambassador to ensure excellent communication between parents and the community and the project
- Provide professional development for the NA team and local staff as and when required
- Perform other related duties as required by the Director
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualifications: Minimum of bachelor degree in related subject or equivalent
- Experience and Knowledge:
- A minimum of 3 years’ of teaching experience
- Strong professional subject knowledge
- Demonstrate excellent phase specific teaching practice
- Outstanding classroom practice/relevant experience
- Experience of leading teams in schools desirable
- Excellent knowledge of child development
- Well-versed in curriculum management and development
- Experience of disseminating good practice to others
- Excellent child management, including behaviour management
- Experience of management in an educational setting an effective coach
- Preferably familiar with education in Arab countries and with ESOL issues
- An effective mentor
