ESOL Advisor

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To support and advise advisors and local staff in order to raise the standard of English
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the guidance of the Cluster Leaders
- Deliver the goals of the Public-Private partnership through the implementation of effective quality assurance procedures
- Provide ELT training for the NA team
- Provide, organise, schedule, resource and quality assure (QA) English Language courses for local staff and parents
- Provide professional development for the NA team and local staff as and when required
- Provide an ESOL perspective on curriculum development
- Develop effective communication within and between clusters to ensure the dissemination of best practice
- Monitor, review and evaluate the quality and impact of teaching and use the outcomes to identify professional development needs
- Perform other related duties as required by the Cluster Leader, Deputy Director or Director
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in English and/or ESOL/TEFL
- Experience and Knowledge:
- 3 years relevant teaching experience
- Strong professional knowledge
- Experienced in ESOL education and leading teams
- Excellent knowledge of child development
- Experience of disseminating good practice to others
- Excellent child management, including behaviour management
- A fluent communicator in English
- Knowledge of education in Arab countries would be an advantage
