RESPONSIBLE FOR:

» High quality deliver of the project in a school(s)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To contribute to the success of the public private partnership in Abu Dhabi schools by taking responsibility for the improvement of the designated subject or aspect of the curriculum in a school or cluster of schools

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the guidance of the Cluster Leaders

  1. Give advice to classroom teachers and assistants on the curriculum and its delivery in their area
  2. Give advice to school Principals and Vice Principals on management of the curriculum
  3. Manage the procurement of suitable resources and materials
  4. Conduct regular assessments
  5. Design and deliver training programmes
  6. Deliver demonstration lessons
  7. Working alongside classroom teachers, planning jointly with them
  8. Liaise with parents and other stakeholders
  9. Reporting to the Cluster Leader on progress against Key Performance Indicators
  10. Performs other reasonable and related duties as requested by the lead Advisor and Cluster Leader

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Experience and Knowledge:
    1. Qualified teacher status: Degree level qualification in the subject or aspect designated
    2. Outstanding classroom practice
    3. Experience of disseminating good practice to others
    4. Excellent knowledge of current developments in the subject area designated
    5. The ability to inform, motivate and energise children and adults
    6. Experience of teaching, through the medium of English, children whose first language is not English, would be an advantage
    7. Excellent classroom management, including behaviour management

    4. Excellent use of English- written and oral
    5. Willingness to acquire ESOL qualification
    6. Understanding of the use of performance data in school management
